Sam’s Coffee Roasters is owned and operated by Van Ho. Since 1995 we’ve supplied wholesale coffee to Bay Area restaurants, cafes, pho kitchens, and offices — small-batch roasts, dialed-in blends, and the kind of service that comes from one person answering the phone.
Vietnamese coffee is our heritage. But we sell everything a Bay Area bar needs — organic and regular, espresso, single origin, decaf, custom roasts, and commercial equipment.

Van Ho founded Sam’s Coffee Roasters in 1995 because the Bay Area’s Vietnamese-American kitchens deserved a roaster who actually understood Vietnamese coffee — the bean, the roast, the grind, and what a pho restaurant’s afternoon service looks like.
Thirty years later that’s still the work. Small-batch roasting. Custom blends dialed in for each bar. The delivery truck Van drives himself most days. The phone that he’s the one picking up.
We’ve grown into everything else a Bay Area bar needs — house espresso, organic single origins, decaf, and for commercial espresso equipment we connect you with our trusted Bay Area partner. But the way we do it hasn’t changed: Van’s standards, Van’s calls, Van’s name on the delivery.
